You may recall waaay back in 2010 a group of RocSubway readers got together with the intent of drumming up support for transportation alternatives in Rochester. In a town where the car is king, that was to be no easy task. But we’ve been making measurable progress. Find out how you can help, AND get some original Thievin’ Stephen artwork as a thank-you…

Original Spaceman Artwork Now Available
Monday, April 1st, 2013
A few months ago we interviewed the local artist known only as Spaceman. You’ve seen the iconic images on the streets of Rochester. Now you can own them (and contribute to two great causes). Proceeds gathered from the sale of these stickers, prints and t-shirts will go towards Spaceman’s efforts to clean up waterways in the Genesee Valley; including the Genesee River and surrounding tributaries. Spaceman also requests that a portion of the proceeds go to RocSubway for the upkeep of the site. Thanks Spaceman!
But don’t wait. Quantities are EXTREMELY limited so grab this stuff while it’s here.

The Rochester Landmarks Poster, by Richard Margolis
Monday, March 4th, 2013
When I first moved to Rochester’s Swillburg neighborhood thirteen years ago, my favorite place to eat was Highland Park Diner. I remember this Rochester Landmarks poster, by Richard Margolis, hung over one of the booths there. I used to stare and study those landmarks all the while shoveling Aunt Bee’s Homestyle Meatloaf into my face. Ah, my first taste of Rochester. Today I own that poster, and I’ve now been to all but one of the 38 landmarks on it. It’s a great feeling!
Now you can get your hands on a copy of this Landmark poster from the RochesterSubway.com Gift Shop, and start checking them off your list too. Can you name all 38 landmarks? No peeking! The answers are after the jump…

Saturday, December 10th, 2011
Subway Santa is a little late to the party this year. The lack of snow this holiday season has wreaked havoc on his internal clock. We’ve got just two weeks left for Christmas shoppers—even less for Hanukkah. So let’s cut the bull and get right to it. Last year we were inspired by these crafty Rochester Subway gift ideas. This year, Rochester Subway Santa has two more goodies for you.

Crafty Rochester Subway Gifts
Saturday, November 20th, 2010Did you know when Santa Claus is in a pinch to get toys delivered to all the good little boys and girls on time he jumps on the Rochester Subway? No, of course not—that’s stupid. The Subway closed over 50 years ago.
But, when his crafty elves are looking for gift ideas they check the RochesterSubway.com gift shop. That part is true!
Here are a few nifty ideas shared with me by Rochester Subway fans last year…

What Do You Need A Blog For Dude?
Friday, January 16th, 2009I’ve been working hard to add new and exciting stuff to RochesterSubway.com over the past month. Not the least of which is this handy-dandy Blog thingy. Relax, we won’t be calling it a “Blog” — that’s so 2005. We’ll just call them articles and I’ll be posting them as we have news or stories to share.
