If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the inaugural Flower City Comic Con is happening downtown at the convention center. Sounds like a blast, and I hope it is successful enough to become a permanent fixture annually.

Any particular reason you picked the top picture? I spent a few minutes the other day looking into that courtyard pondering more exciting uses than 2 benches and a few plants…

Back when we still had a downtown worth going to this courtyard used to be an ice skating rink

WOW travel! Ok, couple quick things.

First – you’re welcome. It’s a great article.

Second, I’d been sitting on the photo for a while (frankly, I’ve been sitting on a ton of Rochester photos for a while), and just decided to use it here. It is an unfortunately underutilized space downtown.

Third – despite my belief that there are ample reasons to go downtown, Rochester needs only so many ice rinks, and with one around the corner from here at MLK Park, there’s really no need for this to be one too.
