\nA while back, Chris Clemens called attention to Rochester’s growing collection of Little Free Libraries \"external<\/a>. Last week Deanna Varble and Ken Braley wrote in to RocSubway and asked me to share a few more they’ve been working on.<\/p>\n

I love this grassroots effort to encourage reading. And I’m happy to share these newest additions to the greater Rochester neighborhood…<\/p>\n

\nWith the help of volunteers, Flower City Habitat for Humanity \"external<\/a> installed this Little Free Library at the Charles Settlement House \"external<\/a> at 431 Jay Street \"external<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The library was built by FCHH\u2019s cabinet shop volunteers and painted by an art teacher at Cobbles Elementary School in Penfield, NY. The books were donated by students at Cobbles and it will be re-socked with more of the Cobble\u2019s donated book by the Small family, residents of the JOSANA neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\nHere’s another new library box going up at 55 Hall Street \"external<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nAnd another one at the South Wedge Mission, 125 Caroline Street \"external<\/a><\/p>\n

\nAnd last but not least, this one at R Community Bikes \"external<\/a>, 226 Hudson Avenue \"external<\/a> <\/p>\n
