In what is actually a 30 minute advertisement for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palladiumboots.com\/\" target=\"_new\">Palladium Boots<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"position:relative; top:2px;\" alt=\"external link\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochestersubway.com\/images\/icon_link.gif\" width=\"15\" heigth=\"11\" border=\"0\"><\/a>, Knoxville turns urban explorer and takes for an eye-opening ride through some of the hardest hit areas of Detroit&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><script src=\"http:\/\/www.vbs.tv\/vbs_player.js?width=406&#038;height=228&#038;ec=AzM3dzMTr-RTUG_4Se9al7nvUDdYqc_i&#038;st=Uneven%20Terrain&#038;pl=http:\/\/www.vbs.tv\/watch\/uneven-terrain\/palladium-detroit-full-new-credits--3\" type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In this shrinking city many of the same struggles we face here in Rochester are amplified by a factor of 5 (at least). In fact, today&#8217;s headlines announced that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2011\/US\/03\/22\/michigan.detroit.population\/index.html?hpt=C2\" target=\"_new\">Motor City has lost a staggering 25%<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"position:relative; top:2px;\" alt=\"external link\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochestersubway.com\/images\/icon_link.gif\" width=\"15\" heigth=\"11\" border=\"0\"><\/a> of its residents from 2000 to 2010. That equates to about 237,493 people! Over the same period Rochester has lost 5.55% or 12,180 people.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Once a drug infested neighborhood. But Knoxville shows us there are still very good people here \u2013 and reasons to be hopeful. He interviews Larry Mongo for example, a business owner who recently opened a blues caf\u00e9 in a depressed section downtown (where he says even the homeless had abandoned).
