Oh Really?<\/h3>\n

So I learned something new this week. Apparently Tilt is in the location that Rochester had a Spaghetti Warehouse\"external<\/a> back in the ’90s. In what was apparently a big change for the chain, they abruptly switched from using actual old industrial buildings in cities to building fake ones in the burbs (my only experience with one is from Lynnwood, WA – definitively suburban). Go figure.<\/p>\n

Onward<\/h3>\n

The city continues its long slow grind to adding a new performing arts center downtown. After a pair of, let’s politely call them lightweight, proposals for the site, the city has again issued an RFP.\"external<\/a> Maybe the proposals will be more to their liking this time than the last. Maybe not. The objectives of the proposal are highly jilted towards getting something with made up employment and economic benefits and away from something that could be a successful mixed use, downtown development (think some mix of retail and housing). Good luck to all parties involved – I hope you get what you’re looking for.<\/p>\n

Someday We’ll Know<\/h3>\n

Did you know Winn was still working on Sibley?\"external<\/a> They are! And they expect to finally have apartments ready next (2017) fall. And they’re not telling you the price in case A.) rents are up even more still in downtown and they undershoot or B.) the demand for high(er) priced rentals downtown is satiated and they need to scramble to actually get more office tenants and the rentals never happen. It’s like a choose your own adventure.<\/p>\n
