That’s why Landmark Society’s Young Urban Preservationists and Slow Road Travel are bringing you Backroads & Byways: Medina \"external<\/a>, the first in a series of daytrips to check out the roads less traveled and to explore historic places and exciting projects in small towns throughout the region…<\/p>\n

\nIn the historic Erie Canal village of Medina, you\u2019ll get a behind-the-scenes look at in-progress building rehabs, a completed loft conversion, and see how Medina\u2019s young entrepreneurs are breathing new life into this small community. We\u2019ll end the day with live music at a truly unique open-air venue (where you can purchase locally made mead \"external<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\nHighlights include: 810 Meadworks \"external<\/a> (including live music at an amazing historic open air venue behind the former R.H. Newell Shirt Factory), a behind-the-scenes look at the ongoing rehab of Bent\u2019s Opera House \"external<\/a> and a tour of the completed conversion of the R.H. Newell Shirt Factory \"external<\/a> building.<\/p>\n
