From local development to just plain news of the weird, here are your RocLinks for this past week…
Strong Markets
Its seems Tower280 hasn’t had any trouble finding tenants. Nor have other high end buildings. This is promising for the longer term success of many of the buildings coming online in the next year.
The train, boss!
Seisenbacher Rail Interiors Inc. is coming to town. They’ll be manufacturing over on Humboldt St next to (get this) the train tracks. At a mere $12,000 per job in subsidy, this is quite likely to pay off. Even if every job was only for $40,000 (let’s call it an average), the state should be getting about $23,000 per employee in taxes. Bravo.
The Best(s)
It’s that time of year again when we all get to vote on Rochester’s Best(s). Go to town, and you know, put in a good word for my favorites while you’re at it.
I’ll bid $1
And finally, the Price is Right hit up Rochester for a recent prize. I’m flattered! Although they should maybe do some Rochester stuff too next time, and not just drive to Hilton.
As always, use the comments below as open discussion for anything in these links – or let us know if there’s a topic you’d like to see us hit more aggressively in future RocLinks. Have a great weekend!

Any idea what the building behind Chase Tower (to the left) is supposed to be?
