With April Fools Day being only yesterday, RocLinks will be a little light this week. Even so, step right this way…
Grand Closing!
Another one bites the dust with the closure of the corner bakery over at Collegetown. It’s easy to think this shows some sort of long term trend, as does the closing of Cosentino’s, but…
Grand Opening!
…At the exact same time Bar 145 just opened at Collegetown. The 8th location for the ‘chain’ based on Toledo, this is the first in New York. Good luck to them.
Don’t Say I’m Back
In other local-venue-news, Water Street Music Hall received a conditional license to keep operating. There’s a laundry list of requirements that should probably be titled “Stuff Water Street Should Already Have Been Doing.” Maybe now they will?
April Fools!
And finally, we are, of course, not the only people to have an April Fools post. With that in mind, I wanted to link to one of my favorites that would also be great in Rochester.
As always, use the comments below as open discussion for anything in these links – or let us know if there’s a topic you’d like to see us hit more aggressively in future RocLinks. Have a great weekend!

Some park-n-rides on the canal with duck-shaped ferries running up and down it would be awesome.
