From local development to just plain news of the weird, here are your RocLinks for this past week…
NOTA May Soon Have Three Heads
D&C reports that local beer maker Three Heads Brewing (Honeoye Falls) is working to set up its own beer-making operation in Rochester’s Neighborhood Of The Arts. Rumors are swirling that plans are already being reviewed by the City and the development will include a tasting room. That would automatically make this other new development across the street a bit more attractive to anyone who enjoys a good brew.
Have I Got a Bridge for You
State lawmakers approved funding for a new, arched railroad bridge in Letchworth State Park. The bridge plans were previously discussed here.
Better Late Than Never
The oft-maligned marina project is now projected to miss 2015 entirely. Better luck boating in 2016.
New Year, New Housing
A long delayed affordable housing project at the north end of the South Wedge has finally qualified for state subsidies after trying and failing last year. Construction is expected to start in spring on the development, formally named WedgePoint Apartments.
Meta Blogging
And finally, here is a link to a local real estate blog post that links to dozens of excellent other real estate blog posts from 2014. You’re welcome.
