Because we’re always thinking ahead to the weekend, here are a couple of fun things you might want to check out. We’ve got a Christmas celebration going on in the South Wedge, and one heck of a shopping alternative to the big box stores…
On Friday (5-9pm) and Saturday (10am-2pm) Metro Justice will hold it’s 33rd annual Alternative Fair – your holiday shopping alternative to the big box stores. You can rest easy knowing you’re supporting LOCAL craftspeople, and getting sustainably produced, quality goods at truly affordable prices. There will be thousands of items including pottery, textiles, jewelry, fine art, toys & games, ornaments (and much more).
In addition to gift hunting you’ll find food, music, and information tables by local progressive organizations.

And on Sunday (2-5pm) you’re invited to a holiday themed celebration at the Calvary St. Andrews church at 68 Ashland Street.
This 1873 South Wedge landmark has recently been transformed with an extensive restoration. Bring the family and see it shine with “a thousand lights for Christmas.” You’ll enjoy tree ornament decoration for the kids, a cranberry treats bake-off, history tours for you architecture buffs, and much more…
