After receiving rave reviews for his 2008 lecture on global rail travel, “Wish You Were Here” series sponsor Thomas N. Tischer has agreed to present again at the Dryden Theater — this time to discuss the role streetcars and trolleys played in the development of U.S. cities and their European counterparts.
Thomas N. Tischer is an Eastman House museum member and photographer who often photographs rail and transit while traveling the globe and has built a collection of more than 35,000 transportation slides. His recent lecture at the Dryden, “Trains: What We Have and What We Have Lost,” illustrated how passenger trains have changed over time, with trains from today and some that are now only memories.
The “Wish You Were Here” travel photography lecture series brings world-renowned photographers and photographic experts to the Dryden Theatre to discuss their work.
