An incredible piece of typographic art, this image is from the title page of a 1910 survey atlas by G.M. Hopkins and Company for the City of Rochester, New York.
Maps and atlas books of this era often had elaborately designed titles. This particular creation by the artists at G.M. Hopkins (and digitally remastered by RocSubway) is a wonderful combination of bold letter forms and wildly intricate line work - Perfect for any modern Rochesterian to display proudly at home or in the office.
